What is the best online Video Conferencing site?

I’m part of an online group that was weekly meetings. Our meetings consist of up to 200 people and some would like to be on camera. We are currently using stickam, but there is about a 3 minute lag between everyone and the channel operator. Would very much like to find a site with minimal lag and still be able to use multiple cameras :)

I think http://www.accuconference.com/ would be the best company to use for video conferencing. I have been using them for a while and so far have experienced grate service with them.

What is the best software/hardware combination to do home video conferencing (DSL to DSL)at low cost?

I used Net Meeting & Yahoo! Messenger video to do home video conferencing but the quality is very low, I am willing to invest in a new WebCam, but I need to have a better software. Any recommendation?

admin answers:

There isn’t really GOOD videoconference out there that is cheap. If you are looking for something cheap and relatively good – I would recommend Skype ( www.skype.com ) as phone ( the best audio quality on the internet phone, no doubt about that ) and Spontania, video for Skype plugin – http://www.video4im.com/. They both are for free. Use them both to get awesome audio and very good quality video. The video quality depends on your internet speed – if you have pretty good connection, as well as the other person – the Spontania will adjust it automatically and have a good quality image.

Now, the second alternative would be waiting for Skype 2.0 ( coming out within a few weeks ). It will have both voice and video abilities, no need for extra plugins.. And I believe this will be THE best conferencing tool out there.

Hope that helps.
