We all want our landing page to be the best it can be and convert like crazy, but it doesn’t happen for the majority – why? Obviously we do not know the exact cause of your issues with your page, but we can tell you there are definite reasons that can be identified and fixed. Never doubt your ability to turn your self into a landing page superstar, and we really mean that because it is not hard. You need to get some education on the matter, and it begins today.
It doesn’t matter if you write amazing copy if your prospects don’t really get your headline. First of all you need visitors, and once they read your headline they will either continue reading or keep on surfing. We will tell you to write as many of them as you can stand, and then choose the best half a dozen or so and test them. In a very real way headlines serve as a filter so people who are not appropriate for the offer will not read the copy. A good way to do this is to keep your unique selling point in mind when writing the headline. Your prospects should get a fair idea of what you offer to them by just reading the headline. If you are new with headline creation, then it is really a very good idea to find additional information and get a little educated.
If you are not familiar with how to add white space to your copy, then the best thing is to simply look at other landing pages. You do not have a lot of time to make your point on any landing page, so make very sure your copy is proof-read and edited to make it tight. Give your visitors an easy experience on your page and make it simple for them to read your copy and understand it. Seriously, all of this is extremely easy to learn and do well, so do not make any excuses about it.
Depending on your market, you may want to consider a few well-placed testimonials. We all know the value of testimonials, so use them at your discretion and see how they work for you. Effective testimonials will have detailed information about your product or the experience. So only go with those that use very specific information that support what the person is saying. People are tired of the hype that is going around on the Internet these days, and they want something that would encourage them to make a purchase by showing them definite results, and not something vague.
You can definitely do something about your landing page conversion rates, but keep in mind that it will take some time.
