Jenny asks…
Need SEO help for my website?
I have a website for my handyman service here in Seattle that I’m looking to get bumped up on the search results of the various search engines. I know about keywords, meta tags, link trading etc and other SEO techniques but am thinking of either hiring someone to do it for me or finding more detailed information or using a site’s webmaster tools to help me do it on my own.
I know about submitexpress.com, addme.com etc and other SEO sites but wanted to know what people think of paying SEO versus doing it yourself if you have a decent sense of what to do. I’d rather pay for a site to use their SEO webmaster tools and do it myself or use a free service if possible.
My budget is VERY LOW so I gotta do this as cheap as possible.
Thanks for your time.
my site is http://www.seattlehandymanservice.com BTW

The main issue here is your budget, so better DIY for the mean time, get a good kick in your business then hire a SEO expert in the future.
Target websites that will have double purpose for your niche, SEO and marketing:
1. Submit links to directories that is targeted in Seattle.
2. Search for top blogger (related to your niche) in Seattle area, and ask if they can blog about your website. They will ask for a compensation.
3. Go for reciprocal exchange to websites that can benefit your niche from their traffic – sample: real estate in Seattle, etc. Do not reciprocate to websites that has no use to your site, no matter how tempting the PR is.
Start with those 3, and see if you increase your revenue within 2 months – if it does continue with it until you have enough money to spend in outsourcing … If it fails, try another strategy.
SEO and marketing is a trial and error. Do not hire a ‘wanna be’ SEO for a cheaper price, they’ll just burn your money site from spamming.

David asks…
How can one track Search Engine Optimization SEO work of a site and what kind of tools are needed?
Just like google annalytic that provides ranking of a website and daily/monthly progress report in terms of traffic/visitors to the site; what are other tools available so that I would be able to track the traffic????

admin answers:
There are a few good SEO analysis tools out there for checking your rankings. Some are free, some are not.
www.webceo.com
and web position gold.
However, google analytics and regular analytic software can be used to monitor your SEO performance. Look over time from when you started optimizing the site to now. Is there an increase in daily traffic? What keywords are people using to find your site? Are they coming from the search engines or from referrals?
Monitoring your back links also is a good performance metric.
Domain-pop.com is decent but there are a lot out there as well.

Freeware Web-based Website Link Analysis Tool (Not SEO)?
I was using a site about a year ago which allowed me to see graphically all the links to the URL of my choice. It is web based and free. I found it when I was doing research for Competitor Analysis and now I can’t find it after months of searching.

admin answers:
Go To SEOmoz.org they have a tool that you can use for free. I think you can only use it once per day unless you buy a membership. I have a membership and its worth every penny!

Google optimization for a site which is in the sub folder of a website.from webmaster tools?
I have a website that is made for some other country and stored in a sub folder under my root folder.
Can any body help me how can i do submit the website under google for the seo perpose.
main website: sgs-infotech.com (already submitted to google from google web master tools)
sub website: sgs-infotech.com/de/ ( Now i want this also to be submitted in google.)
Please help me how to achieve this as i dont know much about seo of a sub domain or whatever this is called.
Thanks in advance

admin answers:
Submit it with the directory, or simply convert it into a sub domain… Which should be that hard…many hosts do that automatically where u can type something.dd.com instead of dd.com/something
Also, in the webmaster tools for google, add it there and verify.
Then spam links leading to that folder… And google should figure it out, and u should see 2 results… After a while

Ruth asks…
