Are you thinking about actually sticking to your New Year’s Resolution this year? Well you better make it an easy one then. Don’t be unrealistic and attempt to break off the beer plus bar stool relationship if you’re in a room full of alcohols. Don’t you dare try to give up meat in a house full of carnivores. Here is a list of the most common New Year’s Resolutions made by the American people.

  • Lose weight, everyone wants to shed some pounds this year.
  • Quit smoking, the habit is nasty and deadly, plus in this time of recession the price tag is outrageous.
  • Stop bad habits. Some people stop drinking, other’s stop gossiping, and some stop smoking cigarettes. It’s a personal matter but everybody has some sort of bad habit they should leave behind.
  • Stop eating meat. Becoming a full out vegetarian is hard to do, but if you’re motivated go for it.
  • Visit your family more, this year it’s time to appreciate the greater things in life and leave the grudges behind.
  • Spend less money, in these economic troubles, it’s a good idea to save some money and avoid bankruptcy.
  • Embellish a new persona, some people move away and start a whole new life in a whole new city, as a whole new person. Not a bad goal.
  • Take time out for the greater good. A great resolution is to give back. Set aside a number of days or weeks to give back to your community somehow.
  • Doing something a little extra for the person you love. Show your significant other how much they mean to by going above and beyond this year.
  • Start a family. Some happy couples use the new year as a way to jumpstart their happy families. Having a child is one of the most rewarding New Years resolutions.
  • Make it happen this year and be creative. It shouldn’t be has hard as to stop eating meat or drinking alcohol all together. Make it do-able but gratifying. Once you put your mind to it you can do anything. Happy New Year!
